The Yidan Prize Foundation is accepting nominations for its award, Yidan Prize for Educational Research and Development, to be given in 2018. The goal of the prize is to “recognize and support individuals for their most forward looking innovation that creates sustainable impacts on education system of today and tomorrow”. Two winners per year will receive $3.9 million dollars each in cash and project funding, making this the largest educational prize in the world.

Yidan Prize for Education Research recognizes outstanding research that amounts to significant contributions to education.
Yidan Prize for Education Development recognizes innovative ideas that tackle pressing challenges in the field of education.

Background: The Prize was created by Mr. Charles Chen Yidan, co-founder of Tencent, one of China’s most successful internet companies. The Yidan Prize seeks to recognize an individual or small group whose work transforms education in an innovative way that can be replicated and repeated around the world to improve education quality and provide better access to education for all.

- A nomination form completed in English and in accordance with the word limits specified for each section.
- A minimum of two letters of support prepared by referees who endorse the nominee’s achievement. For self-nomination, a minimum of three letters of support are required.

- 1 page summary highlighting the key features of nominee’s work, achievement and its outcomes/effectiveness.
